Back In Tha Day

Back in tha day I'm styll young but not a kid anymore/
but sometimes back in time wit my mind i soar/
to a place where cartoons used to be wholesome like milk/
N most HipHop sounded smooth in ya ear like silk/
when you use to play N be happy didn't have so much blues/
gear wasn't dat important except for tha occasional name brand shoes/
didn't worry about makin' or doing a bunch plans/
forget a million i waz rich as long as I had money to buy ice cream from tha ice cream man/
Back in tha day my blacks did track like high jump N runnin' races/
now were chased by cops who swear there tryna solve cases but are really racist!/
parents made us rock corduroy pants to skool in elementary/
I hated dem so wen they ripped I laughed but in front of dukes I wouldn't mention-c/
jumpin' over things from back in day like they were hurtles/
remember skool pizza days where everyone picked there favorite Ninja Tutle/
commercials for Lucky Charms or waffles made by Eggo/
and even before Nintendo video games, peeps were playin' Lego/
beef waz eatin' hamburgers and hot dogs/
and just because you caught another person's eye you weren't ready to fight like "whut dog?"/
playin' hide and go seek and cops N robbers/
on bikes, or roller blades but on foot it waz easier to dodge ya/
for lunch it waz peanut butter sandwiches and a drink box you know how we do-B/
N went cray z mad excited if I got a Twinkie or Joe-Louwey/
but things change I remember my first crew of bredtrins/
now some do me like prison guards and criminal wit felons/
N jus walk right pass me/
sometimes I wish wen I waz young time didn't pass me/
but I styll got bretrins N a God who away would never dash me/
